Wood stoves keep the chill out when the weather turns cold. Notice the

mosquito coil on the stove. We had to use these almost constantly, along with

a few of those wonderful racquet shaped bug "zappers," to keep our sanity.

The hoards of mosquitoes on the Kuskokwim are huge, fast, and very aggressive!
